Heaven, Lo Siu Ho 羅少昊

Lo Siu Ho is a Hong Kong-based visual artist who works in painting and ceramics. He focuses on the pure purpose of creation and attempts to recall the experience of life as a human being from birth to the moment, inheriting the artist's life energy through the material. Lo believes that the process of Painting and Ceramics is the least interventionist way to directly present the traces of pure thought, and suggests that the creation of artwork is an alternative mode of reproduction and that creating artwork is a means by which the artist achieves immortality. Lo's work therefore directly expresses his desire for self-reproduction and reveals his ambivalence about being a collective or an individual.

 

羅少昊是一位香港視覺藝術家，從事繪畫和陶藝創作。羅氏專注於創作的純粹目的，並試圖回顧作為人類從出生到此時此刻的生命經驗，透過物料繼承藝術家本人的生命能量。羅氏相信繪畫和陶瓷創作過程中能夠最不受干預地直接呈現出純粹思想的痕跡，並且表明創作作品是一種另類的繁殖模式，創造藝術品是藝術家達到永生的一種手段，因此羅氏的作品能直接表露他對自我繁衍的慾望及揭示出對於成為集體或個體的矛盾性。
